My Final 2 Fridays...

LA Fitness Friends,

Last week I had to make one of the toughest, easy decisions of my life...to give up my spin classes at LA Fitness.

I say that it was tough I absolutely love coming in each morning and working with you. Over the past five years some of the faces in class have changed, but I consider all of you good friends and hope that you'll continue your fitness journey and stay in touch as often as possible. Don't ever hesitate to reach out with a fitness related questions, or personal training.

While the decision was tough because I will miss all of you, it was easy in the sense that I'll be able to spend the mornings with Jax, getting him ready to start his day. The amount of enjoyment I get hoping on a bike and going like crazy for 45 minutes is immeasurable, but can't even compare to waking up each morning and having coffee/milk with my little guy while watching cartoons.

My Commitment To You

  • I am always available to you as a resource. While I do formal coaching and personal training, please don't hesitate to ask me a question or let me know how I can help.
  • The Race to Anyplace is still on! We have two Space Monkey Mafia teams and we're still planning on winning. I'm not sure who your new instructor will be, but I'll give you all a plan for riding your sprints...just hang out in the back of class and ignore what the new person has to say.
  • As always, I'm available for coaching and personal training. Check out more info at either www.smmsports.com or www.pittsburghrunner.com. Shoot me an email if you have any questions. My LA Fitness friends get a huge discount!
My Schedule Through the End

Plan to see a sub next Tuesday. I'll be planning to ride this Friday & next Friday. Shoot me an email and let me know if you're interested in starting early either or both Fridays. Of course there will be plenty of music all themed around how much you'll miss me!

Thanks to everyone for making the last 5 years at LA Fitness awesome!

  1. FYI your info on leaving did not show up on my droid but did on laptop. Sorry you're leaving your class. As you know I missed your class for a year when I had custody of my 1 &1/2 year old granddaughter Layla, so I completely understand. Although there will be some people you will miss a lot, there's no doubt you are doing the right thing. Put me down for extended classes the next 2 Fridays, if others are interested!

  2. Ken your spin classes were the first I've ever had. They have been challenging and interesting, with great music, and funny! Your running clinic was great too! And the spin races were great experiences, looking forward to this next one (did I just type that ? lol) ! Gonna miss you. If you start up again, let us all know asap!!
